Three years ago, when I started my old blog Two Cups of Happy I had just moved to Halifax. I was fresh out of university with my Bachelor's degree in hand. And I promptly join the ranks of psych grads who end up working in retail. Honestly, I loved working at Nova Scotian Crystal. My coworkers were warm, supportive and hilarious. Most days, I loved my position there, especially helping others pick out gifts, but I desperately needed a creative outlet other than wrapping 100 boxes of Christmas baubles. I had abandoned most of my creative habits out of necessity while in school, but when I stopped learning, I felt the need to create come back.
At the time, I mostly blogged about recipes, crafty things and how I spent my weekends. The last one was mostly for my parents. And my nanny, who I later found out read my "blob" on a regular basis. I'm pretty sure only a handful of people other than family read my blog at that time. And hey, it's still a handful, but I've outgrown my old blog in other ways.
So I started this one.
